Mark of Thomas Pitts, London, 1762, four baskets, mark of Martin Hall & Co, Ltd., Sheffield, 1912
Shaped oval, the detachable central basket boat-shaped with reeded, rocaille and scroll border applied with floral sprigs, pierced with circles, stars and diaperwork crossed with scrolls and flowers, the stand similarly pierced and with openwork apron of floral scrolls and fruit, on four beaded foliate scroll feet, the four detachable foliate scroll and beaded arms supporting spirally-fluted shaped circular baskets with floral scroll borders, marked on basket, stand, branches and small baskets, the central basket also engraved with scratchweight '129=3', with a blue glass liner, together with four later baskets, each pierced with scrolls and with openwork floral foot and swing handle, each marked on base and handle
