The 7in. wide brass dial with Roman and Arabic chapter ring, strike/silent to the arch signed JAMES THORN COLCHESTER, blued steel hands (minute end section lacking), the movement with twin gut fusees, verge escapement, rack strike on bell and foliate engraving to the back plate
