A German oak quarter-chiming mantel clock, early 20th century
The breakarch case with brass sound frets to the sides, on flattened bun feet, the arched brass dial with foliate scroll spandrels to a silvered chapter ring, matted centre, with subsidiary slow/fast and chime/silent rings in the arch, the triple barrel movement with quarter chimes on four gongs via a pinned cylinder and hour strike on further gong -- 17in. (43cm.) high
