The circular silver tureen with two ring handles, domed cover with acorn finial, with silver oak leaf and acorn stand with stag medallions, all supported on three boar feet, the wooden circular base inlaid with antler, bone and teeth, marked on base of tureen and on frame
The tureen 12¼ in. (31 cm.) diameter; 84 oz. 10dwt. (2,634 gr.)

According to a certificate dated 1958 that accompanies this lot, this tureen formed part of a complete hunting service, 1789, from the Estate of the Crown of Württemberg, sold from the Royal Treasury of Württemberg, Castle of Stuttgart, October 1938, no. 932 (part)
