A gilt bronze figure of Maitreya
Nepal, circa 17th century
Seated on a double-lotus base with a beaded rim, holding a lotus and the kumbha, clad in a sheer dhoti, an antelope skin draped over his shoulders, adorned with a beaded necklace and large earrings, the hair pulled into a high chignon with locks falling over the shoulders, secured with an elaborate festooned headdress and centered by a tall stupa
