A GILT-BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER AND COVER
17TH/18TH CENTURY
The censer has twin monster-mask handles and is decorated in gilt with two shaped cartouches enclosing a mountanous landscape with pavilions, trees, figures, a bird, boats and a river. The openwork cover is surmounted by a Buddhist lion with its foot on a brocade ball.
