Circa 1723, blue crossed swords and K.P.M. mark to the interior, the gold mount contemporary with the box
Finely painted in the manner of J.G. Höroldt, with Chinese figures at leisure pursuits based on images from the Schulz Codex, the cover with men smoking, the continuous scene along the exterior with men making tea and taking tea, the bottom in Purpurmalerei with two figures making tea, the interior with a similar chinoiserie scene
