A GREEN-AND-YELLOW-GLAZED 'DRAGON' BOWL
JIAQING SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)
The deep rounded sides are incised with two dragons striding amidst flames in pursuit of flaming pearls and separated by ascending phoenixes above a petal lappet border. The interior is decorated with a circular medallion enclosing a stylized shou character. All of the decoration is in green glaze reserved on an egg yolk-yellow ground.
4¾ in. (12.1 cm.) diam.
