The first set, comprising a pair of cuff links, each designed as a calibré-cut sapphire square panel, and four shirt studs and four buttons en suite, mounted in platinum; the second set, comprising a pair of cuff links, each disc designed as an onyx and diamond checkerboard, and three shirt studs en suite, mounted in platinum and gold, cuff links with French assay marks; the third set, comprising a pair of cuff links, each designed as a mother-of-pearl disc with diamond trim, and three shirt studs en suite, mounted in platinum and gold; and the last, comprising a pair of cuff links, bezel-set with a cabochon ruby, and two shirt studs en suite, mounted in platinum and gold, with French assay marks; and a fragment (cuff links illustrated)
The first cuff links and two shirt studs signed Cartier, nos. 10309 and 3767; the second with three shirt studs signed V.C.A. for Van Cleef & Arpels, no. 20299 and cuff links unsigned, no. 9859CS; the third, signed Cartier, nos. indistinct; and the last cuff links signed Van Cleef & Arpels, no. 31973
