A Helmet in the Shape of a Tall Court Cap (Naga Eboshi Kabuto) and a Face Mask
Edo period** (18th century)
Designed as a tall court cap (eboshi) in reddish-brown lacquer, the forecrest a bronze crescent moon, fitted with a four-lame solid-plate iron neck guard of false scales lacquered red; with a red-lacquer face mask applied with moustache and silvered teeth, fitted with a four-lame solid-plate iron throat guard lacquered gold and laced in green (2)
