A Huanghuali three-tiered picnic box, 18th/19th Century
of rectangular shape, comprising a cover and a shallow upper tray above three stacked trays, the base frame with two side posts flanked by stylised scrolling mythical beasts, joined at the top with a humpbacked handle, all edges with metal reinforcements, a thread pin securing the tiers onto the frame -- 13in. (33cm.) wide.
