With overall dark surface, the back unusually carved with dragon-like creatures amongst foliage issuing from a vase, below a crest rail with opposing scrolls and a further pair of creatures, the seat rails with rosette-filled guilloche, traces of two previous layers of paint just visible, repairs
49 in. (125 cm.) high; the seat 20¾ in. (52.5 cm.), 26 in. (66 cm.) wide, 13½ in. (34 cm.) deep
