A JAPANESE ARITA BLUE AND WHITE FIVE-PIECE GARNITURE

Comprising three baluster jars and covers and two beaker vases, each painted with a fenced garden with large branches of peony and chrysanthemum, decorated with shaped panels of stylised flower-heads around the rim, all reserved on a diaper-pattern ground, the domed covers painted with a similar pattern and applied with a gilt shaped finial, damages and repair
The jars 40 cm. high; the beakers 24 cm. high (5)
