A JAPANESE GILT AND LACQUER CABINET-ON-STAND
MEIJI PERIOD, LATE 19TH CENTURY
Decorated in gold hirimaki-e and hirame with pine, plum and bamboo against a dense nashiji ground, the doors opening to reveal five drawers decorated with cranes, the interior of the doors with cranes amongst young pine, engraved copper fittings, the large lock plate with stylised mon, on a later stand
