A Japanese stained ivory okimono of spherical form, carved in relief with numerous intertwining puppies, some chewing the edge of a basket, others a sandal, the eyes inlaid with horn (some inlay missing) -- 2¼in. diam., signed on a mother-of-pearl tablet: Masamitsu.
