With fluted sides and flat rim, the interior with a slightly raised and carved rosette in the centre with silver and copper petals bordered by a circular band of loose naskh script within a further stellar shaped kufic inscription band terminating in drop-motifs, each band outlined with copper inlay, the rim with cartouches of kufic script alternating with six-petalled rosettes, areas of corrosion

This tray is inscribed in kufic with benedictory phrases in Arabic around the rim and the inside. Around the central rosette inside are further benedictory phrases in cursive script.
