A KUTAHYA MOULDED TURQUOISE POTTERY JUG
OTTOMAN TURKEY, 18TH CENTURY
Rising from a short foot to wide bulbous body tapering below a slightly flaring rim, with S-shaped handle, decorated with yellow, red, cobalt-blue and green on turquoise glaze, with moulded ribs terminating in trilobed palmettes with interspersed floral sprays, a band of hanging palmettes around the rim, handle with scrolling floral decoration, minor chips, otherwise intact
