The shape of the column-krater can be assigned to group E in C. M. Stibbe's, Laconian Mixing Bowls: a history of the krater Lakonikos from the seventh to the fifth centuries B.C., Amsterdam, 1989, figs. 32-35. There is a graffito reading "ΠV" on neck, likely an abbreviation of the owner's name.
