the large rectangular box decorated in gold and silver hiramaki-e with enhancements of gold foil and okibirame with a continuous scene of maples, patterned cloth curtains and clouds against a nashiji ground, the edges of the box fundame; the underside of the lid also lacquered in gold and silver on a nashiji ground, the lower interior lined in printed paper, the base nashiji and the cord fittings metal, cast as large florets
