the No. 3 type microscope signed on the arm Powell & Lealand, 4 Seymour Place, Euston Square, London the barrel mounted on a horizontal arm with twin strut supports atop the main limb incorporating rack and pinion adjustment and fine focusing screw, the fully mechanical stage with substage condensor mount with aperture disc and rack and pinion adjustment, and plano-concave mirror on double-jointed arm, the limb tilting on a raised tripod stand, fittings in case for bullseye lens, frogplate, drawer for three later accessories, fitted box of 18 accessories including camera lucida, 2in., 1in., ½in., ¼in, and 1/8in. with futher 4in objective by Stanley, in original locking mahogany case with labels to inside door for maker's address, price list inscribed 'A. H. Halley', and magnifications
