With A. Lange & Söhne international guarantee dated December 2003, instruction manual, leather wallet and fitted presentation box.

Created in 1845 by Ferdinand A. Lange, the German manufacture based in Saxony encountered many challenges throughout its history. Built with the vision of producing the most technical and sough-after timepieces, the company's activity was hindered due to bombings of the Second World War and the political instability that later followed in the region.

Attached to his watchmaking legacy, Walter Lange saw the opportunity to revive his ancestor's company after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. He therefore re-established a manufacture in Glashütte and was able to offer his first timepiece by 1994. Widely acclaimed within the watch community, the Lange 1 model set the brand towards the path of recovering its status as one of the world's leading watch companies.

First introduced in 1994, the Lange 1 is the most recognizable model designed by the manufacture. Carefully crafted in order to show the world a timepiece with a truly unique identity, the model will tell time through its asymmetric dial and off-centered time display. In order to tell the date, A. Lange & Söhne's engineers adopted an outsize date indication inspired from the five-minute clock of the semper opera house in Dresden. Throughout the years, the Lange 1 has captivated numerous watch enthusiasts and reached a status that only very few watches have attained in such a small amount of time.
