A large Canton famille rose scroll vase
19th century
painted and gilt with a continuous scene of warriors, dignitaries and ladies seated on a terrace and strolling in the flowering, rocky garden of a pavilion set within a walled precinct, further figures in boats amongst foaming waves, on foot and horse back before the outer wall of the pavilion, the foot and rim with bands of dragons amongst foaming waves and cloud scrolls -- 42in. (106.7cms) high, (restoration).
