A LARGE FRENCH CHESTNUT CABINET, LATE 19TH CENTURY
carved overall, with a moulded cornice and upper frieze of lozenges and birds, enclosed by a central sliding door carved IHS 1838, flanked by hinged doors carved with various religious symbols, with a central frieze drawer below flanked by dummy drawer panels and with side drawers, on channelled supports with an undertier, the interior of the left hand door inscribed and dated 1901, possibly incorporating earlier parts -- 76in. (194cm.) wide, 82½in. (210cm.) high, 21in. (54cm.) deep
