A LARGE KRAAK PORCELAIN DISH
WANLI PERIOD (1573-1619)
The center is decorated with a vase of peonies and scholar's rocks on stands within a border of diaper-filled, demi-petals and below petal-shaped panels enclosing fruit, flowers and auspicious objects that continue from the well onto the everted, petal-barbed rim. Further petal-shaped panels enclosing pearls and lingzhi are on the exterior.
19 ½ in. (49.5 cm.) diam.

Acquired between 1960-early 1980s, and thence by descent within the family.
