TANG DYNASTY (AD 618-907)
The figure is shown standing with her arms folded beneath the long shawl that is draped over her shoulders and worn over her low-bodiced dress with long, red-striped skirt. Her round face is modeled with a demure expression, and is framed by the almost geometrical hairline of her tall, crescent-shaped coiffure (paojiaji). There are traces of orange-red and black pigment.
