A late Victorian Scottish ovoid four-piece tea service on rising circular bases and with elaborate scroll handles, each decorated with vignettes of 18th century Scottish figures, probably taken from the novels of Sir Walter Scott, with celtic style friezes above and beneath, the teapot and hot water jug with domed hinged covers with baluster finials, the milk jug and sugar basin gilt-lined, Edward and Sons., Glasgow 1900 and 1901 - height of hot water jug 10½in.; and a pair of sugar tongs with claw ends - 62oz.
