by Louis Ouizille (fl. 1768-1790), marked, Paris, 1771/1772-1772/1773, with the charge and discharge marks of Julien Alaterre 1768-1774, the flange struck with inventory number 269, later struck with two Parisian post-1838 restricted warranty marks for gold
Large oval box, the cover, sides and base chased with vertical shallow flutes alternating with husk bands and centred by oval reserves chased with trophies of love, music and harvest on a sablé ground, the frosted borders chased with stylized acanthus, plain gold rims
