Lot Essay

The signature on the dial of this clock probably refers to Pierre Musson, maître in 1746, and recorded at Place Dauphine from 1748 to 1756 (Tardy, Dictionnaire des Horlogers Français, Paris, p. 483; J.-D. Augarde, Les Ouvriers du Temps, Geneva, 1996, p. 381).
