Georges Jacob, maître in 1765

A virtually identical pair of marquises by Jacob was sold at Ader, Picard, Tajan, Paris, 15 June 1979, lot 71, while a further closely related marquise by Henri Jacob (maître in 1779), first cousin of Georges, was sold anonymously at Christie's Monaco, 5 December 1992, lot 118.
