Slightly tapering étui-à-cire of oval section, all over engine-turned with horizontal reeding stamped with scattered flowerheads, the matted gold borders stamped with foliage, pellets and stars flanked by polished flutes, the raised rims with laurel and berry garlands, the matrix engraved with monogram 'DM' on a reeded escutcheon-shaped reserve surrounded by flower garlands
