A mahogany longcase clock, second half 19th century (?)
The case with dentil cornices to the hood's broken arch pediment, outset brass-capped fluted columns to each corner, tracery arch sound frets to the sides, the trunk with band of blind fretwork to the top, horned arch trunk door flanked by fluted pilasters, above plain plinth, the 12in. cut away brass dial with foliate spandrels to a silvered chapter ring with minute markers, foliate scroll engraved centre with rosette shaped recessed seconds dial and date aperture, with silvered disc to the arch signed J. Slirrat Kilninning (?), the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; parts of case possibly later -- 92in. (234cm.) high

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate on the Friday following the sale and every weekday from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE TO PURCHASERS WHO COLLECT THEIR LOTS WITHIN ONE WEEK OF THE SALE.
On the Thursday one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.20 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
