Lot Essay

The Parisian firm Jenselme Fr/aeres was established by Joseph-Pierre Francois and his brother Jeanne-Arnoux in 1824 at 7 rue des Deux-Portes. The stamp JEANSELME FRERES was used until 1840. The firm quickly established a good repuation counting Louis Philippe amongst their patrons.
