CIRCA 1728, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK
Painted by J.G. Höroldt, the centre with a 'salami' medallion, the well with a band of interlocking gilt scrolls and Böttger-lustre strapwork centred by lozenge-shaped panels, the border with gilt scrolls and strapwork centred by Böttger-lustre flowerheads and divided by four panels painted with Orientals at various pursuits on terraces, one scene with two figures kneeling below a rocky outcrop above them suspending drapes and vessels (?) on cords, within four elongated quatrefoil Böttger-lustre panel cartouches with gilt, red and purple scrolls, within a gilt band, the underside with three branches of indianische Blumen (one lozenge panel with area of wear, further slight areas of wear)
