The shape designed by E.A. Leuteritz, painted after Willem van Mieris with a man playing a trumpet, the reverse with a portrait of a girl playing the lute in an interior, within oval gilt foliate scroll-edged cartouches, the scroll handles with leafy mask terminals, the foot and neck with gilt borders (minor wear to gilding), with a modern black granite, gilt-metal and wood drum-shaped stand
