THE PORCELAIN CIRCA 1725, THE GILT CHINOISERIE DECORATION ALMOST CERTAINLY LATER, DREHER'S MARKS TO FOOTRIMS OF TEABOWLS AND SAUCERS, THE COFFEE-POT MOUNT STAMPED EA FOR ELIAS ADAM AND WITH AUGSBURG TOWN MARK
Each piece moulded in low-relief with gilt fruiting and flowering branches and gilt between with Oriental figures at various pursuits on pedestals supported by scrolling strapwork, flanked by insects and exotic birds in flight, comprising:
A baluster silver-gilt-mounted coffee-pot and domed cover (small chip to footrim)
A globular teapot silver-gilt-mounted teapot and cover (the cover loose, minute chipping to finial)
An oval sugar-box and domed cover, the interior and base richly gilt (cover with chipping to underside of rim)
A flared slop-bowl (cracked across and restuck)
A two-handled flared cylindrical beaker
Six teabowls and six saucers with richly-gilt interiors and wells (one saucer with two rim chips, one saucer with one small rim chip and a footrim chip beneath glaze)
(some very slight wear and surface scratching to gilding throughout)
The coffee-pot 7¾ in. (18.7 cm.) high
