A MEISSEN SILVER-GILT-MOUNTED CHINOISERIE SAUCER
CIRCA 1728, GILDER'S 51. MARK
Painted in the manner of J.G. Höroldt with an Oriental carrying a bowl of fruit and a lady carrying two baskets, on a terrace with a chequered fence, flowering shrubs issuing from jardinières and a circular table with vessels, within an oval gilt cartouche with small Böttger-lustre panels edged with gilt scrolls issuing iron-red and sepia scrolls, within a Gitterwerk border and gilt line rim, the underside with three iron-red concentric circles, the footrim with a circular mount (areas of minute wear)
