A MEISSEN TURQUOISE-GROUND LOBED QUATREFOIL SMALL TUREEN AND COVER
Circa 1745

Painted with figures at discussion in estuary scenes beside buildings and ships within gilt quatrefoil cartouches divided by radiating panels gilt with shells and pendant foliage and edged with gilt diaper ornament, the top rim with a silver-gilt mount, the domed cover similarly decorated, the branch finial with coloured flower terminals (some minor chipping to foliage of finial and minor restoration beneath mount on rim), blue crossed swords mark, Pressnummer 37 to footrim
