A MING-STYLE BLUE AND WHITE MOON FLASK
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The vase is painted on both sides with a complex geometric pattern infilled with floral scroll, lattice and wave motifs, tessellating around a central six-pointed star to form a large meander, each of the compressed sides of the vase with a raised boss on the mid-body decorated as a floral bloom dividing a composite floral spray, supported on a splayed foot encircling a small countersunk circle.
