Lot Essay

A description and title for the present lot is entered in Solon's Plaques et Travaux, faits en extraordinaire ledger, Report 88 under the header Reglé or Production 30th of July 1877. His margin notes record 'Phillips - 'Miror [sic] frame', thus a likely commission delivered to the august London retailer. Please note there were no other semi-circular plaques mentioned in the ledger or currently extant.
