A Mongolian bronze figure of Padmasambhava, late 18th/early 19th Century
the serene figure painted with delicately scrolling moustache, modelled seated in dhyanasana on a lotus base cast with varying shaped petals, his raised right hand holding a vajra, the other a kapala, wearing layered robes, a beaded necklace, roundel earrings, and a tall pointed hat with broad brim, decorated in relief with stylised sun and moon motifs, ancient symbolism representing the sky -- 7½in. (19cm.) high.
