19th century, signed Sotai chakushi Yasuhide and Bokuyu gyonen nanajugosai chutan sei kore o tsukuru
The blade shinogi-zukuri (longitudinal ridge on both sides of the blade) configuration with iori-mune (shallow-peaked back) and a medium point and slight koshi-zori curvature (high point of the arc near the bottom of the blade) and carved on the inside with a dragon and a flaming jewel and on the outside with a buddhist ken and a Sanskrit character; the forging pattern tight wood grain but indistinct, the temper line gonome (undulating); the tang unshortened with one peg hole

The mount ito-maki-tachi-koshirae (silk and leather binding on the scabbard) comprising a saya (scabbard) lacquered gold and black with shakudo and gilt hardware carved with vines and paulownia, tsuka fitted with a shakudo and gilt pair of menuki formed as Buddhist ken, mokko tsuba and fuchi-kashira decorated to match the other hardware
