An enamelled gold pan casket, dated to the reign of Shah Jahan (1627-1654) is decorated with a very similar floral theme showing four floral sprays elegantly rising from the centre to fill each of the casket's four lobes (Susan Stronge, Made for Mughal Emperors, Royal Treasures from Hindustan, New York, 2010, pl.33, p.55).
