A MYCENAEAN MINIATURE POTTERY BASKET
14TH-13TH CENTURY B.C.
Of hemispherical form with single handle spanning the bowl, with orange painted strokes on the handles and two bands around the outside, 3 in. (7 cm.) high incl. handle; a Greek Geometric handled beaker, with bulbous base, straight flaring sides and high handle, the body decorated with central frieze of stylized aquatic birds within horizontal bands and bands of zigzag, 3 5/8 in. (9.2 cm.) high incl. handle; and a Greek Geometric miniature cup with flaring sides and everted rim, a small vertical handle, decorated with bands around the interior, the exterior with frieze of cross-hatched triangles divided by dots, more bands below and on base, 3½ in. (9 cm.) diam. across handle, both circa 8th Century B.C. (3)
