Lot Essay

This cupboard shares distinctive features with a group of five cupboards in Flensburg Museum and illustrated in Otto von Falke Deutsche Mobel des Mittelalters & der Renaissance, 1924, pages 81-83. The door roundel, the Katherine wheel-type roundel and the linenfold device all appear in various combinations in this group.
