A PAINTED GREY POTTERY MODEL OF A BULLOCK AND CART
NORTHERN WEI DYNASTY, 5TH-EARLY 6TH CENTURY
The bullock, shown standing foursquare on a rectangular base, has a pronounced dewlap and a harness. The body is painted red as are the sides of the cart, which has an arched roof that extends over the seating area in front, an off-center opening in the back, and a pair of separate spoked wheels.
