The shepherd modelled standing wearing a pink tricorn hat moulded with gilt shells, a turquoise cape similarly moulded, a gilt waistcoat and pink breeches, a hound at his feet before pierced flower-encrusted tree-stump bases moulded with rococo scrolls, his companion similarly modelled, her clothes moulded with shells, on a rococo scroll base
