Signed Zai Goshu, Teikoku Koshikan Kaisetsu kinen and Osaka Shosen Kabu Shiki Kaisha, Kizo [In Australia, commemoration of the establishment of the Imperial Legation, Osaka Shosen KK Ltd., presentation], Meiji Period (late 19th century)
Each hexagonal vase worked in various thicknesses of silver wire and coloured enamels with birds among flowers and leaves including chrysanthemums on a dark blue ground the leaves with a variety of rich green shades, the neck and foot with floral lappets and a band of stylised flowers, silver and copper rims
