The boy and girl each modelled seated on mottled rockwork, he holding a loaf of bread and with a basket of wares beside him, she with a fish and a bird supported on the rockwork beside her, he wearing a manganese hat, green jacket, spotted shirt and yellow striped breeches, his companion in a hat, a striped and spotted dress with green sleeves and a yellow striped apron, each on a shaped green-washed base, both restored
