A PAIR OF FRENCH ORMOLU-MOUNTED ALABASTER VASES
The alabaster probably 18th Century, the ormolu probably of a later date
Each of shaped elongated form with a gadrooned lid surmounted by a leaf-wrapped pine-cone above a pierced guilloche cast rim with paired square and acanthus-cast handles to either side with a gadrooned base, on a waisted socle and a stepped panelled plinth, repairs to both lids
12½ in. (32 cm.) high; 14 in. (35.5 cm.) wide (2)
