Possibly Irish, mid-18th Century
Each padded rectangular back and seat upholstered in pale blue floral-patterned damask silk, the shaped crestrail centered by an opposing C-scroll cartouche and acanthus clasp between outscrolled reeded eared corners, the outscrolled arms with serpents' head handholds on incurved uprights, the gadrooned apron above acanthus-headed cabriole legs and claw-and-ball feet, each with a stamped metal tag 33 (2)
